Integrating DxO Optics Pro v4.5 and above with Adobe Lightroom

DxO Optics Pro v4.5 has been the first major photographic software application to start building a common workflow with Adobe Lightroom. We’ve long been pioneers in establishing compatibility with Adobe technologies and this is no exception. We see Adobe Photoshop Lightroom as an important platform for photographers and our goal will be to enrich that platform and provide better value for you – the photographer.

As with all pioneering efforts we know that we are just at the beginning of this adventure. And yes there are still things that will have to be worked on from various angles until we reach a fully integrated experience. We’ve tried to document some of these in our new web Learning center. But we hope you join us on this journey and take the time to provide us your feedback, your questions, your suggestions. That’s how we’ll all move forward together.

There are basically three scenarios that can be set up, as pictured in this diagram:

1- either DxO Optics Pro is placed upfront Adobe Lightroom

2- or DxO Optics Pro is called from Adobe Lightroom.

3- or DxO Optics Pro directly accesses Adobe Lightroom's databases

A detailed description on how to set up each individual software and make them work together can be found below, either under the form of a PDF, or under the form of a video.
